I Had A Dream
...I know that those words remind you of the Reverend Martin Luther King.
My dream
is a different one from his though 1 share his dream. I believe that he
is in Heaven smiling
down on me. He would be the first person to say that he didn't want dreams
to die when he died.

| |
I had a dream, a wondrous dream;
It warmed me in the cold
It shined its light all over me.
Its promise was foretold.
It picked me up when I was down,
It led me through much more
Than I had thought that I could stand.
It led me to a door.
That wouldn't open to my knock,
I couldn't find the key.
Oh! How to open up this door
Where all the promise be ?
How to find the magic lever
That will set the jackpot free?
How to pluck the golden apple
From the golden apple tree?
Getting closer, getting closer!
I see the magic circle's gleam!
I can almost reach to touch it.
Must I awaken from this dream?
